Joshua Venture is a nonprofit organization that seeks to reinvigorate and expand the Jewish community by:

  • Cultivating the leadership and management capability of talented, passionate young Jewish social entrepreneurs and investing in their visions and the growth of healthy, sustainable organizations; and
  • Advancing the overall field of Jewish social entrepreneurship.

Sixteen individuals from across the U.S. successfully completed the Joshua Venture Fellowship. Among these alumni are Aaron Bisman of JDub Records, who launched musical phenoms Matisyahu and Balkan Beat Box; Amichai Lau-Lavie, the acclaimed creative talent behind Storahtelling; Ronit Avni of Just Vision which created multi-award winning film “Encounter Point”; and “Forward 50” Amy Tobin, founder of The Hub at the SF JCC.

Joshua Venture suspended its operations in 2005 in order to restructure. The organization is now taking steps to re-launch building upon its strong programmatic foundation and lessons learned.
